With Suggestions for Promoting Positive Changes [microform] / M. Miles Distributed by ERIC Clearinghouse [Washington, D.C.] Purpose: This study explored the perceptions, attitudes and practices of primary caregivers towards children with disabilities in two communities from Sindh and Balochistan, in Pakistan.

While this report is in response to legislation which requires sex equity personnel to gather, analyze, and disseminate data on the status of men and women in vocational education, it also is a means of informing educators and members of the community about the particpation.

The mission of the Children's Defense Fund Action Council is to "Leave No Child Behind," to do what is necessary to meet the needs of children and their parents, and to ensure a healthy, safe, fair, and moral start in life for all children.

Perceptions of Primary caregivers of children with disabilties in two communties from Sindh and Balochistan, Pakistan Attitudes towards Persons with Disabilities, Following I.Y.D.P. ( The study by NOWPDP assessed community attitudes and perceptions on disability in 21 schools/school catchment areas in 4 districts of GB, and identified a large number of superstitions and misconceptions regarding disability and persons with disabilities.

The history of special education is in fact a story of changing attitudes towards people with disabilities; from private tuition, institutions, special schools to integration and now gradually to inclusive education.
